Meet Psychologist Candy Mok
Hi, I have been registered and working as a Psychologist for over 15 years. I have been working in clinical assessment, rehabilitation and counselling settings. My clinical experience is gained from working in various governmental departments and from community work. I worked and volunteered for an NDIS provider servicing people with special needs particularly in children’s service. I also worked in human resources corporate roles in government department.
I gained my Science Bachelor degree in Psychology and I further my study in Masters of Behavioural Health Science in University of Sydney.
I am registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) / Psychology Board of Australia.
I am a SIRA approved psychologist (State Insurance Regulatory Authority), providing psychological service to Workers Compensation or Motor Crush Compensation cases injured people.
As my clients adopt new, healthier self-beliefs and habits and grow, their confidence, capabilities, resilience and wellbeing increase. There is always hope and help.
Feeling down, anxious or distress? Perhaps fearful, angry or even guilty? Do you feel stuck, as if you are not good enough, or no one hears you? Or are you simply dissatisfied and all alone?
If these feelings or thoughts are affecting your health and wellbeing, your relationships, your performance at work or your ability to find contentment and happiness, I would like to help.
Many people do not realise that the way we think, feel and behave may be holding us back. Unresolved past distress can inhibit our growth and ability to flourish.
As an experienced and Medicare-approved psychologist, I focus on helping young persons, students, parents, carers, professionals, workers, retirees to explore how to lead happier and better lives.
We can work through any issues impacting on your sense of self, relationships, health, family, education or career. You may be experiencing restlessness, loss of appetite, sleep difficulties, disconnection with family, friends and colleagues, panic attacks, inexplicable pain, loss of control, and constant dwelling in the past.
We will explore spoken and unspoken issues such as hurt, anger, resentment, guilt, loss, bullying, discrimination, loneliness or being single, to raise your awareness of feelings, thoughts and habits that may be preventing you from moving on and thriving.
A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. There is always hope and help.
